Fundraising Banquet


The annual fundraising banquet is held every October and is AVA Care’s largest and most financially significant fundraiser of the year. AVA Care is serving more women than ever who feel abortion is their only option, or who are vulnerable to choosing abortion. It is critical that AVA Care continues to have all of the necessary resources to serve these women as effectively as possible, so that they are empowered to make a fully informed decision and carry their baby to term.

Underwriting Information

Will you help underwrite our annual fundraising banquet?

It is our prayer to have 100% of the expenses for the banquet covered by faithful friends and businesses that love and believe in this ministry. This goal will enable 100% of the donations received the night of the event to directly benefit the life-saving work of AVA Care of Harrisonburg.

Table Host Information

In preparation for the banquet, AVA Care is looking for Table Hosts. The goal of the host is to invite and fill the seats with individuals who desire to partner in caring for women at the crossroad of uncertainty and possibility.

Table Hosts play a significant role in advancing the cause of empowering women to carry their babies to term.

Table Host Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to buy a table?

No, there is no cost to hosting a table or to attend the event. All guests will be invited to partner financially and support the work of AVA Care.

How many people do I invite?

Each table seats eight people. Please include yourself and your spouse or guest in this number. Our goal is to fill each seat with individuals whose hearts might be open to our life-affirming ministry and moved to partner with AVA Care financially. Keep in mind, this is an adult only event.

What is my role prior to the banquet?

Your main responsibilities are to invite guests and register or call in confirmed guests. There is an online tool available to make this process easy and efficient.

What is my role during the banquet?

Introduce your guests to one another and make them feel comfortable. Upon check-in, you will receive an envelope with nametags and response cards. When the speaker prompts, you will be asked to distribute envelopes to everyone at your table. Thank your guests for coming!
